Action Items you can take now to help make your voice heard
If you live in a state with wild horses (Oregon, California, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Nevada, or New Mexico), print out a copy and send it to your local state Senate and legislators. You want to start a conversation with them too.
Wild Horse, Burro, and Public Lands Letters

You can send the 7 Asks document and copies of articles to our members of Congress. We each have 1 US Representative (member of the House of Representatives) and 2 US Senators.

Look up your US Representative here: www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative then go to his/her website, scroll down to the bottom, and get the address for their DC office. You could also send a 2nd copy to their local state office.

Then look up your 2 US Senators here: www.senate.gov/senators/senators-contact.htm  Put in your state on the form and your 2 Senators names will pop up. Go to each of their websites, scroll down to the bottom and get the DC address for each of them.

Don't forget to include your email and phone number. You want them to reach out to you!

*I have just heard that the mail that goes to legislators in DC can sit in the mail room for up to 60 days. So, if you can send a copy to the US Rep & Senators local state office (if they have more than one, and some do, call and ask which one is the best to use), and to their DC office, then they will get a letter now and one in 60 days. Which is great!

The Australian Brumbies

The Brumby culling is ongoing and time is of the essence as Brumby stallions, mares, and foals, will be shot from the air with rifles starting April 4th and for 6 months. This is an excruciating death and an extremely cruel way to cull the herd.
It's up the the public to stop this atrocities and the ONLY way that will happen is if EVERYONE makes the calls and send the emails.
Contact the Australian embassies in the US today, and every day this week if you can, and simply say:

'I am outraged and shocked that Australia is not protecting the treasured Brumby wild horses. I will never visit Australia unless the country takes actions to keep the Brumbies safe, wild, and free.'
You can also use some talking points in the attached media release from Brumby Action Group Inc.
Embassy phone numbers & emails; call & email them all today! It will take less than 15 minutes for you to call all the numbers below and send the message above to the 3 email addresses listed. You can also send a letter and/or have kids send a letter or postcard, but send them quickly so they receive them soon.
I have taken the information from usa.embassy.gov.au/our-locations and listed it below for you. I have also included the Australian embassy in Canada below.

If you have friends and family in other countries, ask them to call the Australian embassy(s) there and make the same request. If Australia hears from thousands of people around the world, they might just listen. Isn't it worth a try?

Wild horses need our voices!
